TheTransitioner community is in service of those who wish to learn, practice and embody Collective Intelligence, Wisdom and Consciousness (CIWC).

TheTransitioner as an organization

TheTransitioner.org (http://TheTransitioner.org) is an international, independent and non-profit organization that does research and development on collective intelligence, wisdom and consciousness. All research produces are directly offered to the public domain.

TheTransitioner.org works on new technologies and methodologies that will improve decision making capacity of humanity and its organizations. The development of a decentralized, democratic global monetary system, driven by civil society, is at the heart of TheTransitioner.org's commitments. Check the two core goals.

Through seminars, conferences, publications and media, TheTransitioner.org supports people and organizations that pioneer evolution of social life.

TheTransitioner as a vessel of pioneers

TheTransitioner has a core vessel of pioneers (check living social ecosystem).

Pionners are Human Beings committed to their own growth, in responsibility, skills, expertise, consciousness. They go through an integral practice. Through their own example, practice and commitments, they try to embody the next humanity.

TheTransitioner as a legal entity

The non-profit organization TheTransitioner was officially created Jan 2007. Check official publication and by-laws.

Non-profit status has been chosen for the following reasons:

• Ideological: all our work is public domain for common good. Hence there is no proprietarization of what we consider to belong to everyone.
• Practical: it is a light structure that doesn't require heavy administration, at least in its starting phase.

In the longer term we are interested to check what legal entities may fit better to what a global wisdom driven organization is. Conclusion is likely that no legal structure in the current world may express what GWDO really is. TheTransitioner is also pioneering new legal paths.

TheTransitioner as a R&D structure

TheTransitioner is to be seen as a vessel. A special vessel made for pioneers to reach new territories, those new spaces for the next forms of consciousness to incarnate and create the next societies.

TheTransitioner vessel is made to reach two specific goals:

1. Build a global wisdom driven organization (GWDO)
2. Build the next free currency systems 

Note that there is a chicken and egg story here. No global wisdom driven organization can exist with the conventional monetary system. GWDO need the next free currency systems to exist, and the next free currency systems need a GWDO to create and launch them.

Therefore we go one step after the other: a little bit of GWDO improvement, a little bit of free currencies improvement, and so on. Our first step is to implement the next free currencies for ourselves in our own flowplace.

Being a Global Wisdom Driven Organization that can relate to its own free currencies is a tremendous step that will have high value for most other organizations in the world, be they corporate, govermental or non-profit.

We are pioneering humanity

TheTransitioner.org is committed to serve and embody the next human organizations in humanity. We claim that spiritual maturity (being) and capacity to create (doing) are two sides of the same coin. As any living system human organizations can also evolve by moving into new structures. We observe this mutation and apply it to ourselves as an organization. We took the journey of pioneers.

Wisdom delivers action, action invites wisdom

We build a wisdom driven global organization. Collective wisdom has always been accessible to small organizations with the right practice to attract it. Large organizations have to give it up because they rely on leading minorities that cannot embrace the whole complexity. Today evolution is trying to overcome the limits small and large organizations by keeping the best of the 2: the capacity of wisdom for the small ones, the capacity to deliver for the large ones.
Rather than simply observing this evolution we are committed to make TheTransitioner.org a global wisdom driven organization. Our operational "brain" is the one of global collective intelligence, we are a distributed structure in which every participant is fully individualized with a sense of the whole. We are a market place using its own currencies. Each player has a sense of the whole and can act sovereingly. We are here to be accountable of concrete achievements: technologies, tools, methodologies, software, scientific publications, training...

We develop the next monetary system. Money as we know it has a built-in architecture that attracts scarcity, centralization, concentration, secrecy, proprietarization. Our current monetary system can no longer fit the systemic needs of today's world (harmonizing local and global needs, sustainability, gift economy, wisdom...). Money is about to undergo a fundamental shift toward « community currencies ». Each organization, each network, each community will be able to create their own currencies for their marketplace. In the near future millions of currencies will circulate over the Internet and through our cell phones. Our project consits in developing the whole platform for these currencies to be easily created and managed through any device, simply, with fun, in a few clicks, in a distributed way. We see this evolution as the most important and conditional next step for humanity in the coming years.

Our own growth has market value

Although we are a non-profit organization focused on R&D, we know that what we succeed in applying to ourselves has immediate value for others. We are addressing fundamental issues that all organizations are facing today, such as:

• How to balance online and on site life?
• How to balance synchronous and asynchronous communication in a community?
• How to create a sense of being when operating remotely and in different time zones?
• How to synchronize in the doing and in the being remotely and in different time zones?
• How to create web-based technologies (socialware) that invites wisdom to manifest in the same way  space-based technologies have been built in the past for this same purpose (spiritual centers, cathedrals, ashrams, etc)?
• How to create holoptical tools, i.e. tools that provides the whole community a sense of itself so it can self-actualize, self-realize, and provide individuals the choice of wise actions in connection with the whole?
• How to create multi-currency market places that enable accountability and provide the community a sense of its own wealth?

Addressing these questions is what provides our technological and growth roadmap.

Money, money?

We are in the process of attracting $5M USD to achieve the next monetary system. This money can come from conscious investors as well as philanthropists. The profile of these investors or philanthropists are those who understood that providing funds for "fixing" the planet (green technologies, humanitarian causes...) is not enough. Money has to be invested also in projects who shift the consciousness of humanity so it can operate from a different paradigm embodied in a more encompassing social structure.

Return on investment for those investing their wealth in the next currency system will be high. By wealth we mean time, expertise or conventional money. The reason is due to the universal and pervasive need of sufficient and cheap currencies around the planet, in the corporate world as well as in the civil society.

Who?

TheTransitioner is a distributed network and a market place of talents. The core team is composed of highly skilled individuals who have a strong spiritual practice, who have built successful organizations in the conventional world, and who have the qualities of pioneers to explore the next universes that humanity is about to populate.

The founder Jean-François Noubel (www.noubel.com) is a former co-founder of AOL France, one of the early visionaries of wikipedia, a former entrepreneur in IT industry.

Our legal structure is a non-profit organization ("Association Loi 1901") registered in France. It is equivalent to a 501c3 in the United States.
